['Most DStv faults are not decoder faults. Water in a connector, a failing LNB, a dish knocked out of alignment or a rodent-damaged cable cause the majority of callouts we attend.', 'Our technicians test the installation properly instead of guessing, replace only what has actually failed and show you the readings before and after the repair.']

What is included

  • Same-day and next-day repair slots in most areas
  • Proper signal testing, not trial and error
  • Replacement LNBs, switches, connectors and cable on the van
  • Honest advice when a decoder is beyond economical repair
  • Repairs on installations done by other companies
  • Workmanship you can call us back about

Common DStv faults we repair

No signal and searching-for-signal errors, picture freezing or pixelating, sound without picture, channels missing on one TV only, Extra View link failures, decoders that reboot, and error codes such as E48-32 and E16-4 that point to signal or subscription issues.

How we diagnose a fault

We check signal strength and quality at the decoder, then work back to the multiswitch, cable runs, connectors and LNB with a meter. That tells us in minutes whether the problem is at the dish, in the cabling or in the decoder itself.

Repairs versus replacement

Perished cable, corroded fittings and failed LNBs are cheap to replace and make a dramatic difference. Where a decoder has a hardware failure we tell you honestly so you are not paying labour on equipment that will fail again.

FAQs

DStv Repairs questions

Can you repair a DStv no-signal problem?

Yes, no signal is our most common callout. It is usually dish alignment, an LNB or water in the cabling, and it is repaired on site in most cases.

How quickly can a technician come out?

In most of our service areas we can attend the same day or the next working day. Call 082 701 4527 for the earliest slot.

Do you repair installations done by someone else?

Yes. A large part of our repair work is correcting previous installations that were done incorrectly.

Is there a callout fee?

Callout and labour are quoted upfront based on your area and the fault described, so you know the cost before we book.
